Professor Dr. Frank van Tubergen
Professor of Sociology at Utrecht University
Professor Dr Frank van Tubergen is Professor of Sociology at Utrecht University. He has published extensively on discrimination, social networks and the economic integration of immigrants and their children in the Netherlands and cross-nationally. In 2009, the European commission (6th Framework Programme), funded two major cross-national, longitudinal surveys in Europe, of which he is co-applicant and co-investigator: Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Study in Four European Countries (CILS4EU), and Causes and consequences of early socio-cultural integration processes among new immigrants in Europe (SCIP).
His work appeared in top-ranked journals like American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, and Demography. In 2010, he was elected as a fellow of the Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
